Fairy Tale Moments (Who is Your Giant?)
A storybook play.

When Mrs. Knowly, sorceress par excellence, receives a text message in her Knowly Bag, "It is time to sprinkle fairy dust", she calls a meeting of the Fairy Tale Club. Cell phones ring and text-message invitations spread throughout the fairy tale kingdom and surrounding village announcing the meeting. (The anachronism of cell phones is the twist that brings the characters together from the kingdom and village for the meeting.) The members and guests share their fairy tale moments, the stories of their fears outgrown, and discover the guest who has not had a fairy tale moment. Calvin has a chance to face the fear of his shadow, learn something about shadows, and get his fairy tale moment. (Outgrowing a fear is a fairy tale moment.) Peter Pan sprinkles fairy dust to celebrate Calvin's fairy tale moment, and leaves the answer to the question, "Do we outgrow our fears or do our fears outgrow us?" to readers/actors/audience, as growing up remains a mystery to this special guest.
